Reading newspapers on the subway
This short time project was about analysing the semantic units of the front page of a daily newspaper. After destructing the page, I was free to reconstruct it again in any form.
I observed myself and others reading newspapers in a subway. Because most newspapers are too big, some people folded them. So its easier to hold them without disturbing neighbours. This is why I came up with the idea of mapping the newspaper onto an origami figure. It can be folded and unfolded easily and its structure can be used to structure the content in a new way. The final form turned out to be extremely multi functional.
